Now in its 9th consecutive year, the Medieval Mdina Festival brings back to life the dramatic times of Medieval Mdina; stretching from the arrival of the Arabs in Malta till the Norman Rule. Associated with the fall of Rome in 476AD and the beginning of the Renaissance in the 14th century, the medieval period in Europe is regarded as a relatively dormant period if compared to the more highly innovative Renaissance, an era that is fundamentally associated with considerable scientific and artistic achievements.
